Carriacou 1st annual Christmas Home Decoration Competition.

The Carriacou Regatta Committee is getting into the Christmas spirit with the organizing of its first ever Christmas Home Decoration Competition…

The Competition is open to all home owners in Carriacou and is organized with the aim of getting more of the spirit of Christmas into the communities.

Participants are expected to decorate their homes with lights, ornaments and what ever they can think of. Apart from prizes for the first, second and third places, prizes will also be offered for most creative decoration, best lighted home, most colorful home.

The competition will be judge during the period December 17th – 21st with judges visiting the registered homes unannounced during the period of judging.

The event has attracted some very good cooperate sponsors:

Cable & Wireless, Grenada Cable Vision, Foam & Bedding, Grenada Breweries, Courts, George F. Huggins, Ideal Bakery, among others.

Prizes include free utility service, home appliance, drinks, home furniture, Christmas hampers and more.

The Regatta Committee is expecting good participation from home owners and is thinking of making it an annual event.

Registration forms are now available at the Regatta Jupa in Hillsborough and at various other outlets through out Carriacou.
